Here is the thing. You can kill yourself trying to find the next great idea, the next great app, service or product. Spending hours, days and month’s banging your head against the wall, surfing the web looking at the same stuff over and over, trying to get inspired, and you swear the idea is just around the corner.

That is the problem, the idea can be just around the corner but unless you are willing to venture there you might never run into it.

I do this over and over, and even though I know I am not getting anywhere, I still catch myself doing it.

You are probably wondering, what the heck is this guy talking about. I am talking about finding ideas and inspiration when you least expect it, in the most unusual places. You could be driving in to work one morning and something on the radio, something the NPR newscaster says, and BOOM! there it is, an idea!

So stop looking for that next big thing, go about your life and the ideas will come. A lot of times the best ideas are things that make our lives easier, better and more fun! So next time you think “hey, you know what I hate?” Thats it! Make it better! Grab that idea and work on it, craft it, make it into something people can use.

There is no magic in coming up with ideas, everyone has tons of them, true, some people seem to have more than other  but that’s only because they look in the right places, around corners. They spend time working on those ideas, weighing the pro’s and cons, fine tuning, they meet with friends, and team members and build on those ideas.

So, stop stressing and start living, things will come to you, they always do, just be ready!
