This past week the city of Athens Greece, my home town, opened the doors to their new jewel. The New Acropolis museum.

The Acropolis Museum is located in the historical area of Makriyianni, southeast of the Rock of the Acropolis, on Dionysiou Areopagitou Street, Athens. It is only 300 meters from the Acropolis and approximately 2 kilometers from Syntagma, Athens main city square.

The museum looks stunning, great architecture and an awesome collection of never before seen in one place marble pieces.

After reading about it online on various news sites, I ran into the official website and I must say, I am very disappointed, they had a chance to make this website phenomenal just like the museum itself but they did not. I do not think the website does the museum justice at all.

The design is very sloppy, I am not sure what you can and cant click on. You would think the images or the headlines would be maybe? but not really. the main navigation on the top is also messy. I really hope they rethink their online presence. This could, no no… should be a great website!

P.S
Netvolution CMS? hmmm….
