Solution to a Flex Annoyance – BuriedTree

The Tree object in Flex is a wonderful component, unless you try to access Tree nodes that are not visible, then you lose many of your wonderful functions, including selectedItem and selectedItems.

So with this extended Tree that I have created you can do just that, select nodes that aren’t visible or just open the tree to a specific set of nodes. Very helpful.
